Description
The text of “Dona nobis pacem” is a short prayer for peace included in the Agnus Dei of the Latin mass, and the three melodic lines are usually marked as traditional. It is included in many hymnals and songbooks around the world, frequently sung during the Christmas season, and used in many secular settings calling for peace and unification.
This arrangement maintains the simplicity of the original melodic lines while offering a flowing, contemporary piano accompaniment. Optional instrumental parts which double the voices are available separately to enhance performance or provide support to singers, particularly when sung by children.
